BlogWedding Shoot at Tolcarne BeachTolcarne Beach - Cornwall

I have been absolutely dying to share these images from a really exciting collaborative shoot back in February but have been waiting for them to be featured by Cornwall Today magazine. It is always super exciting to see your work in print but it has been particularly thrilling to see this shoot appear on the magazine’s front cover as well as in a fantastic six page feature!

Since having the pleasure of working with some incredibly quirky brides throughout 2016 I was really inspired to create a shoot that showed that you can achieve a beautiful bridal look without feeling compelled to go down the traditional gown route. I wanted a look that was free-spirited and slightly edgy and loved the idea of a wedding dress being teamed with a leather jacket and Doc Martens. When I started to chat with Emma Carlyle (HairbyEmmaC) and Tamara Preece (Coco Milk MakeUp Artistry) about the shoot we decided on a bit of a Madonna vibe, circa Like a Virgin – wild curls, dark eyes and strong brows – a look carried off perfectly by our gorgeous model Emily Hardisty.

Ailsa Munro (www.ailsamunrodressmaker.com) was kind enough to lend us some of her amazing, versatile separates, Blushing Flamingos created some pretty special crystal-adorned jewellry, Snazzy Balloons (www.snazzyballoons.co.uk) provided a confetti balloon and Tregothnan (www.tregothnan.co.uk) created the most incredible bouquet adorned with pheasant feathers and ribbons.
